Survey of Professional Activity of Hospital Pharmacists and Promotion of the Status

A survey of the professional activities of pharmacists was distributed by
PharmWeb last month. Whilst the response by community pharmacists was very
good, there was little response from hospital pharmacists. If you are a
hospital pharmacist, we would be grateful if you could spend a few minutes
filling in the survey below and send the results to:
akaho@pharm.kobegakuin.ac.jp

Thr results will be presented at the FIP meeting in Vancouver.

Thank you.

Survey of Professional Activity of Hospital Pharmacists and Promotion of
the Status

     Dear hospital pharmacists:

As each of you recognize, the health care environment is constantly
changing. As we plan for and adapt to these changes, the goal we must
be striving for is the need for better health care for all citizens.
As far as hospital pharmacists activity is concerned, cognitive
service
and knowledge-based service are becoming more and more important
and those services should be paid properly in order for the hospital
pharmacist to be able to perform those activities comfortably.
In order to achieve these goals, the first step is to know the
current status of the professional activity in the hospital pharmacy
environment. We would appreciate your assistance in filling out the
     following questionnaire.

An agreement has been made between FIP and the authors to conduct
this survey in conjunction with PharmWeb and FIP with the support of
an educational grant from Glaxo Welcome. Your cooperation and time
is appreciated. Results will be analyzed by the authors and reported
at he FIP and other academic meetings.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

     Sincerely yours,
