Dear Gail,
I have to disagree with Mike's recommendation of the Training Tracker
software. In my opinion, the program is set up very rigidly and isn't very
user friendly. This is complicated by a user manual that is difficult to
decipher. I spent many afternoons trying to extract the training summary
reports that company management desired in order to justify purchasing a
network version to no avail. Our IT Manager, a code writing whiz, also took
a look at it and thought it would be easier and faster just to develop one
in house.
Unfortunately, the Training Tracker software is probably the best
off-the-shelf program on the market. There is not a whole lot of
competition in the training software development field.
