Dear Lalwani.
Please, check your start-up procedure for your RO/CDI. Did you perform IQ/OQ
properly ? Did you rinse and clean all piping and system before your connect
the RO/CDI to the system ? How about your raw water quality (e.g. Chlorine
Content and TSS/TDS Number) ? Did you have a preliminary treatment enough for
the raw water before it entered the RO/CDI ? As we know, RO/CDI are very
sensitive equipments, once you do wrong procedure to start up or operate it,
then the equipments will be broken easily (and could cost you thousands US$ to
fix it).
Please, check the ideal operational temperature for both equipments, it seems
the operational temperature (55 F) was too low. Please remember too, the water
resistance is more higher in the lower temperature, so when you set the
resistivity 17 Mohm-cm at 55 F, the received resistivity will be lower at 77 F
and will be lower again when you circulate it at loop-system temperature.
Good Luck !
