I can't let this thread unravel without checking in with my comments. I
have never seen a question generate such a response in this group. I
find it astounding. CGMP v. cGMP? Capital "C" versus lower case "c"
was the subject of an entire article? Amazing! (Can you give me the
citation?) And the subject of a lengthy thread in another group. What
am I missing here? Our greatest debate centers on whether or not to
depress the SHIFT key?
It appears that FDA has fully embraced the CGMP format in their website.
However, I prefer the esthetically more pleasing cGMP. My Solomon-like
alternative would be to spell-out the word "current" as in "current
GMP". But I ask you, "Is the word 'current' necessary?" Why would
anyone want to comply with outdated GMPs or, I suppose, OGMPs?
If the "c" issue is the only thing remaining to discuss, then we must
all be in full compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practice
regulations and are ready and waiting for our next FDA inspection. So I
guess this debate is a good thing.
My question is, "Is it Good Manufacturing Practice or Practices?"
Don't answer that.
Best regards,
David Zuchero
