Indeed, an interesting problem. I can think of three additional
items that should be checked and/or determined: 1. As liquid nitrogen
converts to gaseous nitrogen, moisture is formed. Therefore, check
the water vapor content of the nitrogen. To reduce the moisture
content, use dry tubes inline with the nitrogen; 2. The package(s)
needs to be developed with a minimum head space; and 3. The nitrogen
in the head space needs to be determined to insure it is present at a
specific level.
