Hi all,
Not sure if this section is for posting queries!!
We recieve hydrogen gas in gas cylinders that are stored outdoors.
Upon receipt we apply a raw material and approval label. The back of
the label is 'sticky' and this gets applied to the cylinder. Some
information on the label is handwritten using a ball point pen. I
have the following queries:
During wet/windy conditions we have problems making the labels stick
to the cylinders. This has lead to lost labels.
The handwritten information can fade overtime due to sunlight
exposure or become smudged in wet conditions.
We have lamintaed the labels and attached using ties in the past but
this does not prevent fading due to sunlight and we found to be quite
time consuming.
How do other companies handle labelling for raw materials that will
be stored outside?
Thanks
Anita
