A quick observation-based on experience. Introduction of LIMS may
reduce head count but not significantly. It does two other things. It
increases security in terms of compliance which is one of the main
reasons for introducing it-proper sign offs and audit trails become
automatic. However, the other thing that I have found is that it
requires a higher level of staff training in order to use it effectively
