You right in quoting the 21CFR and the Q7A (although Q7A is for
certain parts of it, directly copy/pasted from the US guide).
In theory MAJOR equipment only are to be considered.
In practice we have to read MAJOR as "major in the process" and not
"major because of its size or price"... Therefore, yes, from my
experience I would say that it's much appropriate to issue and
maintain a log for a pH meter in production.
