SPN, A division of Slack Inc. publishes a continuing education
publication entitled, "Continuing Education Series in Pharmacy and
Managed Care." The publication is sent out, free-of-charge to
18,000+ pharmacists on a quarterly basis.
Each 16-page publication houses two continuing education articles.
Articles focus on managed care-related topics of interest to the
hospital and institutional pharmacy. Continuing education credit is
free and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System
Pharmacists. The publication is funded through an unrestricted
educational grant from Astra Pharmaceuticals Inc.
We are now accepting articles for 2000. Each article submitted
should focus on a topic related to managed care in the pharmacy
practice. Articles should be 3-4 pages in length (8 1/2" X 11"),
single-spaced. Graphics or tables are a welcome addition. Each
article is submitted to an editorial review board. Authors of
articles accepted for publication shall receive a $500 honorarium per
article.
