Re: Medication administration Policies and pharmacist

Dear Robert

In Brazil pharmacist may administer medication by i.m., i.v. or other injection
way at pharmacy, but in the Hospital, pharmacists are not allowed to administer
or give medications to patients. I hope that in less than 10 years we
will start
to form Pharm.D. pharmacists and this professionals will be allowed
to administer
medications and controll infusion pumps, however, this need a governamental and
institutional approvals and apropriate training of faculty and existing
pharmacist (B.S.Pharm.).

Regards

David I Kasahara, R.Ph. B.S.Pharm.
