There is a six year university study to become a pharmacist (apotheker).
After that there are different possibilitites:
1. Recently a registrition has been implemented by the professional
society for the local pharmacists. It includes a two year on the job
training, in kind of in a kind of master/craftsman situation.
2. To become a registered hospital pharmacist there is a four on the job
traning with a weel described training program. The number of training
posts is limited.
As far as I know there is no formal program for industrial pharmacist. So
after leaving university the apotheker can work at the different position in
the industry as a pharmacist.
The Dtch authorities require for a number of situations (e.g. related to
batch release) the signature/responsibility of a apotheker.
I hope this answers your question
