Dear Colleagues:
I'm in search of information or advice regarding the addition of
bactericidal or bacteristatic agents
into the water/humidity reservoirs of humidity controlled CO2 incubators
used for the incubation of cell culture/cell lines. Is it possible for the
"vapors" of these agents to have a deleterious effect on the cells? Could
these agents potentially affect cell viability or be cytotoxic? How would
one go about testing a prospective agent for these effects?
Any information or advice would be welcomed. Thank you.
