Where is Manchester?
Manchester is located in the heart of England. It is one of the largest cities in the UK and many major attractions are within easy reach. Several major motorways can be easily accessed from Manchester and the International Airport is less than 30 minutes from the city centre. Manchester also has excellent rail connections.

From Piccadilly Railway Station walk down the station approach to
Piccadilly Bus Station for any of the following services:
W2, 5, 6, 11, 14, 15, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 49, 143, 157, 261
From Victoria Station services: 46, 48
From Oxford Road Station walk down the station approach to Oxford Road. Any of the above services from outside the Palace Hotel.
From Manchester Airport services: 44, 105
By Road
All approach routes are clearly signposted Universities
From M61 & M62
Leave M62 at J12 and join M602 Salford for 4 miles. At motorway end, join A57 Manchester, joining A57M after 1 mile. Leave at A34 (signed Congleton), bear left (following signs for universities), then get into the right hand lane. At traffic lights, turn right into Grovesnor Street, then left onto Oxford Road. From M62
Leave M62 at J18, to join M66. At next roundabout join A576. After approx. 2 miles, bear left at traffic lights onto A665. Keep going straight on, past several signs for Universities. At junction with Rochdale Road (A664), turn left, then right down Thompson Street. Keep following the Universities signs, which eventually bring you onto Higher Cambridge Street. From M56
At motorway end, continue along A5103 Manchester for 4 miles. Turn right at traffic lights just after the large brewery (on right hand side of the road) signed Manchester Science Park. Follow the road, it firstly bends sharply to the left and then to the right. This will lead you to Higher Cambridge Street. See the Campus Map for the location of car parks.
From M67
At motorway end, continue along A57 for approx. 3 miles towards City Centre. At roundabout, take 2nd exit. It is then approx. half a mile to Oxford Road. See the Campus Map for the location of car parks.
