Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Pharmacy

A Senior Lecturer/Lecturer position in the Department of Pharmacy is tenable from 1st September 2004. The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the teaching programme in Pharmacy Practice.

The Pharmacy Practice group provides key teaching to the undergraduate MPharm degree and several postgraduate courses. The successful candidate, although expected to contribute to the clinical teaching programme in Pharmacy Practice, would be able to carry out research pertinent to any of the Department’s recognised research areas. Health Services Research would be particularly relevant to ongoing collaborations. Other areas are Drug Discovery, Analytical Science, Molecular Biophysics and Formulation Science.

The successful candidate should have a PhD and a substantial number of publications, a record of being able to attract funding for research and be willing to collaborate with existing projects as well as develop their own interests. It is desirable but not essential, that the successful candidate should have a pharmacy degree

The appointments will be made either on either Lecturer B £30,313 to £38,207 or Senior Lecturer £39,882 to £44,897 salary scales inclusive of £2,324 London Allowance per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
