
The University of Central Lancashire has an excellent reputation for the delivery of health-based courses in both the Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Health. The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has recruited its first intake of undergraduates and is seeking to recruit in the discipline of medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry to support the phased expansion of the School. You will join an enthusiastic team working in state-of the-art teaching and research facilities. The School has developed an innovative MPharm programme and has strong links with stakeholders in the region.
The School particularly welcome applicants with a strong background in organic chemistry and a research focus on one or more of the following: polymeric drug carriers; development of novel chemical approaches to drug discovery; elucidation of the chemical basis of drug action; applications of chemistry to drug design and to the chemistry/ biology interface.
