There are a number of reasons why you may not be receiving messages:
1) On joining a discussion group/mailing list, you should have received an e-mail message asking you to confirm whether you wish to join. If you did not receive this message (and reply correctly) then you have not been added to our mailing list. This problem can occur if you entered an incorrect e-mail when you tried to join the group. Please try joining again and if you still do not receive a message confirming your request, contact us at PharmWeb.
2) Some organisations operate filters/firewalls that are designed to stop junk e-mail (adverts, spam etc.). These systems can sometimes prevent legitimate e-mail from discussion groups getting through to subscribers. If this is the case you will need to contact you network administrators and ask them to allow e-mail from PharmWeb (domain names www2.pharmweb.net and pharmweb1.man.ac.uk should be recognised). If you are not sure what to do, ask your network people to contact us at PharmWeb.
E-mail filtering is a major problem as software used to filter e-mail content is usually unintelligent and arbitrary. A more detailed explanation can be found in an article by Geoff Duncan (TidBITS).3) If we have had problems sending e-mail to you, our system may automatically remove your address from our lists. This can happen for several reasons, e.g.
i) if your mailbox is full and messages sent to you are rejected by your e-mail system
ii) if your e-mail system/network is not working and messages sent to you are rejected
If you experience any other problems with any of the PharmWeb discussion groups please contact us at PharmWeb.
