Pharmaceutical Care Discussion Group

The Pharmaceutical Care Discussion Group is designed to provide a vehicle for the free exchange of information in the area of pharmaceutical care and medicines management. The group is moderated by Carmel Hughes, Foppe van Mil and Tommy Westerlund. Although they are all a member of the PCNE (Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe), the forum is designed to cover pharmaceutical care worldwide.

The PCNE is an association which includes an informal network of researchers in the field of pharmaceutical care. PCNE has three types of members:

PCNE offers pharmaceutical care researchers a platform for the coordination of pharmaceutical care research and implementation projects. Every two years, the PCNE organises working conferences where researchers can exchange ideas, learn from each other and set up research projects together. PCNE maintains a website with the publications and projects of its members (www.pcne.org). PCNE offers a platform for discussions on philosophical and quality issues around pharmaceutical care.
