The BMA's GP committee has unanimously backed a motion condemning the current vaccine shortage. They claim there is shortages of BCG vaccine and the combined DTP vaccine, and a shortfall of at least 40,000 doses of meningitis C vaccine. The DoH had denied there is a shortage of meningitis vaccine and say that the quantities available have been increasing over the last few days and will continue to do so over the next few weeks.
