PharmWeb World Drug Alert is a major new development on the Internet and is the result of a collaboration between FIP and PharmWeb. The aim of this new service on PharmWeb is to inform health professionals and pharmacists of new drugs, drug recalls, product recalls etc. Users will be able to receive information for their specific country or a range of countries. Last month I announced the development of the PharmWeb Discussion Forum. This section has expanded rapidly to over 50 discussion groups and mailing lists. Some of the discussion groups that have been formed include those in Controlled Drug Release, Managed Care, Pharmaceutical Care, and Pharmaceutical Science and Technology. Discussion groups have also been established for specific countries. These were developed to act as a discussion forum for national issues and have been created for over 14 countries. If your country is not listed and you think there is sufficient interest please contact me at PharmWeb.
FIP List is a news service on the Internet developed by FIP. Latest world-wide pharmaceutical news can be delivered to users by means of e-mail. Another new PharmWeb mirror site has been established in Italy bringing the total number of PharmWeb mirror sites to 10. I am still looking for a mirror site in South America and further sites in Asia. Please contact me if you are interested in keeping a PharmWeb mirror at your site.
