What is Betacap Solution?

Betacap Scalp Application is an effective, quick-acting topical steroid solution used to treat inflammatory scalp conditions including eczema and psoriasis. Betacap solution contains active ingredients that reduce symptoms and improve the condition of the affected area to keep further outbreaks at bay.

The solution is a clear, colourless liquid containing betamethasone valerate 0.1 percent as the active ingredient. Betamethasone valerate is a topical corticosteroid, which is a powerful steroid used to treat inflammation.

How does the solution work?

When the skin is irritated, the immune system releases chemicals that cause the blood vessels around it to dilate. As a result, the affected area turns red, itchy, swollen, and painful – these signs are common in conditions like eczema and dermatitis.

The main active ingredient betamethasone valerate is a steroid used to reduce inflammation and with 0.1% potency, is classed as a potent corticosteroid. Once applied to the scalp it gets to work by absorbing into the skin and preventing the chemicals that cause inflammation from being released which reduces symptoms such as itching, redness, and swelling.

Directions

How do you apply Betacap Solution?

Betacap scalp solution is simple to use. Always follow the directions provided or set out by your doctor.

The solution can be used in the following way:

  1. Before applying Betacap, make sure your hair and scalp are completely dry.
  2. Wash and dry your hands.
  3. Apply Betacap scalp solution sparingly to the affected areas of the scalp.
  4. Gently massage the solution into your scalp, allow it to dry and do not rinse.

The solution should be applied twice a day until your symptoms start to reduce and at which point you can reduce application to once a day.

How long does it take to work?

How quickly you will see an improvement in your skin depends on the skin condition and severity of your symptoms. Nevertheless, Betacap 0.1% Solution can be very effective at treating a range of skin conditions as the active ingredients are great at targeting inflammation in the problem area quickly.

You may see an improvement in your scalp in as little as a few weeks. It’s important to be consistent with your treatment to see the best results.

Can Betacap improve hair growth?

Scalp irritation can lead to severe itching and over time you may notice thinning hair or hair loss in some areas of the scalp. Betacap is an effective way of reducing inflammation so you no longer itch the area and your hair has a chance to regrow over time. Additionally, excessive hair growth (hypertrichosis) is one possible side effect of using the solution but this may work in your favour if hair loss is a problem.
